This conference aims to open a debate on the importance of men’s positioning in situations of gender violence. Many of these situations of harassment could have been stopped if the spectators instead of being passive had intervened. On many occasions, non-intervention is due to a lack of awareness of the situation of harassment, in others, of not knowing how to intervene without being a victim of the situation as well. This conference pretends to make this phenomenon visible, and provide tools, from the new alternative masculinities, to take a stand/positioning oneself and intervene.
To address this issue, we will have the inaugural speech of Dr. Antonio Madrid strong>, Professor of Law at the University of Barcelona.
We will also have a round table of different experiences strong> that will show different programs or experiences in the intervention, covering different areas and disciplines such as police forces, the educational field, leisure and party spaces, etc.
NO ONE HAS TO DO EVERYTHING, EVERYONE HAS TO DO SOMETHING.
